BioScore – A BioScore fitness assessment looks at your current health, lifestyle and fitness level and helps determine the areas of improvement needed to improve your health, quality of living and overall life expectancy. Your BioScore Appointment Consists of a blood screen, Metabolic Assessment, and BIA measurements / calculations to determine the following: Height, Weight, Blood Pressure, BMI, Waist Circumference Measurement, Total Cholesterol, Glucose, HbA1c, HDL, Triglycerides, TC / HDL Ratio.
Metabolic Assessment – This is a resting assessment that determines the number of calories you burn during basic living. It calculates the caloric requirement of the body to be awake, breathe, and digest meals. From that number we can precisely predict the number of calories needed from exercise or dietary adjustments to maintain, lose, or gain weight.
BIA – This is a screening assessment that can be used for multiple reasons. It is commonly utilized for assessing overall health. BIA can be used to monitor the effects of hormones, nutritional supplementation, diet, exercise and nutrition on overall health. It provides information about body composition, cell membrane health, metabolic rate, toxin load, and the body’s ability to generate new cells.
Health Risk Assessment – Height, weight, BP, history of medications, basic labs including: Cholesterol, Glucose, Vitamin D, and Vitamin B12.
Weight Loss Physical – This is a screening visit at the Medical clinic with either an MD or a Nurse Practitioner. This exam should be performed before undergoing any strenuous training or conditioning program or serious weight loss program. This is not a “complete physical” but an examination that provides further recommendations/restrictions/ & accommodations. It is not to take the place of your annual exam with your primary care provider, but more aimed at screening risk factors that could be a danger to your health while performing activities that may place a higher demand on the body’s systems. From this point the provider may order additional tests that may be needed.
Other Lab Testing –These labs are used to screen for medical factors that could affect weight loss and /or to screen for risk factors associated with obesity or high-end training.
